Synoptic Situation: Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to approach from 23rd May in upper parts of Pakistan.

Hot and dry weather is expected over most districts of the province, while very hot in southern districts. Isolated rain-wind-thunderstorm is likely to occur over Upper Dir, Swat, Buner, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra and Abbottabad districts in evening/ night. Dust raising winds is likely to occur Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Charsadda, Kohat and Karak districts in afternoon/evening. Dust storm is likely to occur over Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan districts in afternoon/evening. Hot and dry weather is expected over most districts of the province, while very hot in southern districts. A westerly wave is likely to approach Northwestern parts of the country on Monday (evening), the 22nd May, 2023. Under the influence of this weather system. Wind-dust/thunderstorm with isolated rain is likely to occur over Chitral, Lower & Upper Dir, Malakand, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Torghar, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber and Kurram districts in evening/ night. Dust raising winds/ dust storm is likely to occur over rest districts of the province in evening/ night. Wind/duststorm may cause damage to loose/vulnerable structures and standing crops. Hot and dry weather prevailed over most districts of the province while very hot in southern districts.
