| Upper Dir | On 26-1-2023, 04 persons came under a glacier avalanche at Barkhand Usherai Darra forests. After a search and rescue operation, 02 dead bodies of Hamid s/o Malang Said and Sajid s/o Bakhtawar were recovered while 02 persons are still missing. | A joint search and rescue operation was carried out by District Administration, Police, Levies, Civil Defence, Alkhidmat workers and local inhabitants. Resultantly, 02 dead bodies were recovered but due to darkness and severe cold the search operation was halted and will resume in the morning. | Deputy Commissioner Office Upper Dir |
